New, moving or expanding: Schuler Shoes relocating to bigger space
WAITE PARK, Feb 18, 2012 (St. Cloud Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Schuler Shoes is leaving its space at Crossroads Center after 15 years and moving to a new store north of Target at 342 Third St. E.
The new space in a building that is also home to Famous Dave's will more than double the size of the Schuler Shoes store on the south side of the mall facing Best Buy.
The store will open at its new location March 1.
According to Schuler Shoes Marketing Director Kari Palmer, the operation will trade its 4,800-square-foot space for one with 10,000 square feet.
The store also will expand its inventory and add staff and management to its roster of 11 employees.
"We looked at the store there and mapped our customer base," said Palmer, who works with the eight Schuler Shoes locations -- all others in the Twin Cities. "Unlike the typical location, where people were coming from 7 to 10 miles around, that one at Crossroads was drawing people from as much as 50 miles away.
