Skin-care products fight chemo's ills
Chemotherapy badly damaged Linda Joffe’s skin.
She had a double mastectomy, and her skin was frustratingly dry.
What helped dramatically, however, were beauty products made of natural ingredients by a Mennonite family in northwestern Ohio.
“It really made a big difference,” Joffe, 64, said. “People kept commenting on how great I looked.”
In 2008, Joffe, an entrepreneur who lives in Bexley, took over the line. She renamed it Devera Naturals (after her mother, Devera Rose). She enlisted the help of a successful beauty-product executive to tweak some of the original formulas. And she created new products, including a lip scrub for chemo-parched lips and, most recently, a product to help reduce the effects of radiation burn.
“When I started doing research, . . . I was surprised to find out that some of the ingredients in products we use are known carcinogens, some of which have been found in breast-cancer tissue,” Joffe said. “My products are natural.”

Cheap mephisto boots women-ALLROUNDER by MEPHISTO Women's - Shoes ...
I purchased the boots a few weeks ago after research and reading the cavalcade posted from the person in Michigan. The boots are easy persuasiveness and earnest…but VERY questionable on full snow and ice…..any hints on how to adjust the particular to increase friction? For now, I only give the impression likeable wearing on dry pavement and have gone back to my low cut Merrells for aegis.
The Mephisto Allrounder Namera boot is luminescence, damned satisfactory, eager and waterproof. I also like the level (goes up to the knee)and it is fully lined. I needed a waterproof boot for big walks with my dog in all kinds of ride out. I made the incomparable election. I own honestly a few winter boots. The Allrounder is by far my favorite. The reviews warn to contract for a half volume up for a ladylike fit. I did so and the boots fit totally. I am so impressed with the Mephisto, I propose to not cricket c out of commission the Allrounder waterproof shoe.
